VADs are used to supplement sounders, providing an effective means of alerting and evacuating occupants of the building, as part of its fire safety strategy. Regulations and codes of practices recommend that they should be installed in places where audible devices alone would be ineffective, or, where they are simply undesirable. Installation of VADs has been mandatory since January 2014 and, with the introduction of the EN54-23 the use of VADs has grown considerably.

The FireClass range of fire alarm control panels provide a great deal of flexibility in terms of hardware configuration, scalability and feature set.
Both the FC702 and FC708 are highly featured digital addressable fire alarm system with 8.4" TFT Colour touch screen multilingual user interface. The FC702 is a 2-loop system that can handle up to 250 devices per panel while the FC708 is an 8-loop system that can handle up to 1,000 devices per panel.
