Zzeus Training to Attend Fire Safety Event 2026 with Industry Panel on Competency
The Zzeus team, including Buddy Squires and Tom Brookes, will be at The Fire Safety Event all week- come and talk to us!

Zzeus Training is proud to announce its attendance at the Fire Safety Event 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, where the team will be engaging with industry professionals and showcasing its leading fire safety training programmes.

Visitors are invited to come and speak with the Zzeus team about their industry-recognised training pathways, including the EAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Providing Electronic Fire and Security Systems. This qualification has become a key route for experienced engineers to demonstrate competence, supporting the industry’s growing focus on accountability and professional standards.

Zzeus is also well known for its flagship 5-day Level 3 qualification in BS 5839-1, a highly regarded course designed for engineers looking to deepen their knowledge of fire detection and alarm system design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance in line with British Standards.

As competency continues to take centre stage across the sector, Zzeus Training’s Managing Director, Tom Brookes, will also be contributing to a key panel discussion titled “Competency: Culture or Checkbox?”. Joining other industry voices, the session will explore one of the most important conversations in fire safety today - how to ensure competency is embedded in culture, not treated as a tick-box exercise.

Zzeus Training has been at the forefront of raising standards in the fire alarm industry, with its NVQ helping engineers gain formal recognition of their skills, progress in their careers, and meet evolving legislative requirements around competence.

Attendees are encouraged to visit the Zzeus stand to learn more about the NVQ, Gold Card pathways, and how the organisation is supporting both individuals and businesses in meeting modern fire safety expectations.
