The Fire Safety Event 2025: A Record-Breaking Celebration of Innovation, Community & Fire Safety Excellence

The Fire Safety Event 2025: A Record-Breaking Celebration of Innovation, Community & Fire Safety Excellence

Birmingham, UK - The Fire Safety Event (FSE) 2025, held from 8-10 April at the NEC Birmingham, concluded with record-breaking numbers, reinforcing its position as the UK’s No.1 fire safety event. A main attraction within the Safety & Security Series, FSE 2025 brought together 12,507 visitors and 264 exhibitors, offering unmatched opportunities for knowledge-sharing, networking, and innovation. This year, the event also saw an increase in international visitors and exhibitors, indicating the show's potential to attract a broader, more diverse audience next year.

Spanning an impressive 15,800 SQM across the series, with a 14% increase in attendee growth, the show floor was alive with energy as industry leaders, fire safety pioneers, and community trailblazers united to address today’s most pressing fire safety challenges and risks. From live panels to immersive workshops, the event fostered a unique environment for collaboration and forward thinking.

Tristan Norman, Event Director, proudly commented:
“The biggest, best Safety and Security Series ever. A million thank you's to every visitor, exhibitor, sponsor, partner, supplier who took part in the last 3 days.”

This year’s content programme reached new heights, with the Fire Safety Leaders Summit drawing standing-room-only crowds. A particular highlight was the panel session ‘Why we should still be discussing competence’, led by Dave White (IFSM), featuring Matthew Spivey (Synergy Fire Engineering), Victoria Swayne (3Safety), and Julie Fitzpatrick (First Port). This session unpacked the standards, qualifications, skills and knowledge required to carry out comprehensive fire safety assessments.

The FSE exhibition floor was the focal point of the event, showcasing the latest advancements in the fire safety from industry-leading suppliers such as Johnson Controls, Fike, and Advanced Electronics. Visitors explored a broad range of cutting-edge products and services tailored to modern demand, such as:

  • Advanced Fire Detection & Alarm Systems

  • Smart Building Integration & Fire Control Panels

  • Equipment & PPE Innovations

  • Fire Suppression Technologies & Sprinkler Innovations

  • Passive Fire Protection & Fire-Resistant Materials

Meanwhile, dedicated zones hosted by leading organisations offered hands-on access to compliance tools, pioneering fire safety technologies, and collaborative initiatives shaping the future of fire protection.

The Fire Safety Event was delighted to partner with WorldSkills UK once again to host the National Qualifiers, focusing on Fire Detection & Alarm Systems. Competitors demonstrated their skills by completing installations, conducting tests, and commissioning fire alarm systems to industry standards. This challenge highlighted the importance of hands-on training in developing the next generation of fire safety professionals.

The Fire Safety Event 2025’s dynamic networking experience was made even more special by the Women in Industry-supported networking drinks on day one, offering attendees a chance to unwind and connect after a day of discussions. With complimentary drinks on the first two days, the event fostered meaningful exchanges, allowing like-minded individuals to share ideas and experiences.

FSE 2025 was co-located with four major events: The Security Event, The Health & Safety Event, National Cyber Security Show, and The Workplace Event, creating one of the UK’s largest cross-sector gatherings focused on safety, security, and workplace transformation.

The Fire Safety Event will return from 28-30 April 2026 at NEC Birmingham. Don’t miss out, register your interest today at www.firesafetyevent.com.
