Annual Fire Damper Testing at Sheffield Hallam

AWB & Son Stand: 4/C104
Annual Fire Damper Testing at Sheffield Hallam
Each year, our engineers carry out fire damper testing across 30 buildings to meet the strict fire safety regulations required within educational environments.

Fire damper testing is essential. It confirms that each damper will close fully in the event of a fire, helping to contain fire and smoke through ventilation systems.

This plays a vital role in protecting escape routes and supporting compliance with UK fire safety standards.

 Scale and Planning

Due to the size of the campus and the number of dampers involved, the works typically take a couple of months to complete. Careful scheduling and coordination are required to ensure minimal disruption to university operations while maintaining full compliance.

Our structured approach ensures buildings remain safe and operational for students, staff and visitors throughout our works.

 Compliance and Documentation

For every building, we provide comprehensive reports and all required compliance documentation. This gives Sheffield Hallam University clear evidence of regulatory compliance and ongoing fire safety assurance.

We look forward to discussing our damper testing expertise at the Fire Safety Event and sharing how we support large facilities across the UK.
