UL Solutions has launched the Technical Evaluation Developer Program to improve the content and quality of engineering decisions (engineering judgements).  Providers who complete the program demonstrate comprehensive knowledge regarding testing, evaluation and industry requirements for the process of producing technical engineering assessments. This presentation describes how engineering judgements in this area are currently made, and provides an overview of this much needed program. It also explains the stages that manufacturers go through to gain approval for their technical evaluations/engineering judgements and how this scheme offers assurance to key stakeholders such as building control authorities.
