Building safety cases. What does good look like?
The primary challenge of safety cases seems to be that few can confidently articulate what they look like and what they do.
It’s easy to lay criticism at the Regulator’s door for a lack of guidance, and conversely at others for promoting a consultants’ charter – but this session discusses constructive solutions.
Practically addressing the needs of s84 requires the safety case to take ‘all reasonable steps’ to prevent or reduce 'building safety risks’ - for example:
- How should a safety case management system work?
- What are its outputs and how can we trust them?
- What does good look like?
