The Korea Fire Institute (KFI) is a government-affiliated organization dedicated to enhancing national fire safety and advancing the fire protection industry in Korea. It conducts testing, inspection, and certification of fire protection products to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. KFI also leads research and development in fire technologies, including emerging risks such as lithium battery fires. In addition, it supports government policy, standardization, and the development of fire safety systems. Through international cooperation and industry support, KFI plays a key role in strengthening the global competitiveness of Korea’s fire protection sector.
