The UV/IR2 Flame Detector is designed to detect the flickering, low-frequency (1-15Hz) infrared radiation produced by flames during combustion. This detector features a UV sensor and two IR sensors, each responding to different wavelengths within the ultraviolet and infrared spectrums. The signals from these sensors are analysed by the detector to identify flame characteristics. When both UV and IR light are detected simultaneously, the detector triggers an alarm. To minimise false alarms caused by flickering sunlight, arc welding, or lightning, the detector employs a combination of UV and dual IR signal processing techniques. Additionally, the Talentum UV/IR2 detector offers selectable output options including relay contacts or a 4-20mA signal as standard features.
