The optical lens that the PIRIN detector uses is specially design to serve the purposes of the range. The shape of the lens is semi-spherical, which provides a greater coverage angle. The special form of the lens allows the detectors to cover the area just under the detector, for the so called – Creep Zone protection. This is the most vulnerable spot for the most PIR motion detectors. With Creep zone functionality the PIRIN detectors are one step ahead of the intruders.
