High-performance intumescent sealant for complex service penetrations
Protecta FR Graphite is a fire-rated, graphite-based sealant designed for service penetrations where standard fire-stop sealants are not sufficient. It is particularly effective for sealing plastic pipes and other combustible services in small openings where high expansion is required to maintain fire compartmentation.
The product is suitable for openings between 10–30 mm and is widely specified in projects with demanding fire performance requirements, including BREEAM-certified buildings.

In fire conditions, the graphite-based formulation rapidly intumesces at temperatures above 150 °C, expanding to close gaps and prevent the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases. Depending on the application and installation detail, FR Graphite provides up to 4 hours of documented fire resistance.
