CommanderEDGE LFX Lithium-ion Battery Fire Extinguisher Range

Our range of LFX fire extinguishers is fluorine and PFAS-free,
following our commitment to sustainability and safer fire protection for our
customers. LFX fire extinguishers work in the following way:
- Puts out flames: LFX is an effective water-based fire extinguishing agent that is excellent at putting out flames.
- Absorbs heat fast: breaking down the chain reaction in thermal runaway and preventing other cells from heating while effectively cooling cells that have already ignited and others that have not yet exploded.
- Protects from secondary Class A fires: that have been caused by the exploding batteries.
Currently, there is no BS EN3 certificate for portable fire
extinguishers for lithium-ion batteries, but we have developed our fire extinguishers
to be NTA 8133 approved. This technical guideline by KIWA and the Royal
Netherlands Standardisation Institute provides a test for portable fire
extinguishers for lithium-ion battery fires with capacities up to 600 Wh.
